Roarockit offers a variety of custom tools to level up your board building process. These tools can help make your process easier, faster, and more accurate. Learn about these tools and how they can be used in each step of the board building process.
Step 1: Design
Designing your board is the most time-consuming part of the process. This is where you get to make the decisions on how you want your custom board to look, feel, and function. The best part about building a custom board from scratch is that you don’t have to compromise on any of the details, you can build it to your exact specifications!
Step 2: Foam Mold
To some, shaping your own custom foam mold can be the most daunting part of the process. We have some tools to help make it easier! If you don’t want to shape your own custom foam mold, consider one of our Multiboard Kits or one of our Pro-Foam Collab Kits.
Step 3: Glue-Up
Getting your board into the Thin Air Press in time can sometimes be challenging. Glue dries quickly especially when spread onto thirsty veneer sheets, which can make or break a board.
STEP 4: Shaping
Cutting out and shaping your boards can be done in a huge variety of ways! Whether you use a jigsaw, bandsaw, or even a handsaw, you have full control over the shape of your board! These are some tools that can help make the process easier.
STEP 5: Truck Holes
Make it easy to find your centre line, mark truck hole patterns and distances, and draw long straight lines with a RockitRuler! These rulers bend along the 3-dimensional shapes of your skateboard. Available in stainless steel and plastic, New School and Old School (the full 6 hole pattern is located at the end of each ruler), choose one based on your personal preference!
Would any of these tools be a good addition to your workshop? Stay tuned for more tools in the works, coming soon! Have any ideas for other tools that would help you with your board building process? Let us know in the comments below!
